METHODOLOGY AND EDITORIAL STANDARDS
How we source, check and
stand behind our advice.
Every Algo Resource recommendation follows the same rules: a stated source, a labelled level of evidence, review by a specialist and a way to measure the result.

WHERE OUR GUIDANCE COMES FROM
Sources we rely on
We start from documentation the platforms publish, not from rumors or forum theories.
- Google Search Essentials
- Google: creating helpful, reliable, people-first content
- Google Search spam policies
- Google structured data policies
- Google: AI features and your website
- First-party data from each client site: Search Console, analytics and conversion data, used only for that client
- Specialist experience from managing live client accounts
HOW WE LABEL EVIDENCE
Three levels of evidence.
Always labelled.
Search changes constantly. Labels stop a guess from being presented as a fact.
| Label | What it means | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed | Published in official platform documentation or announcements | Basis for standard recommendations |
| Observed | Seen in client data or search results we collected, with dates | Recommended with the evidence attached |
| Experimental | A hypothesis we are testing | Only with your agreement, clearly marked as a test |
WHAT EVERY RECOMMENDATION INCLUDES
A finding you can
check and act on.
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Finding | A service page gets qualified impressions but few clicks |
| Evidence | Search Console page and query trend, with the date range |
| Business relevance | Core revenue service in the client’s main service area |
| Suggested action | Test a more accurate title and clearer offer |
| Risk and approval | Low risk; publish after your approval |
| Success measure | Qualified clicks and lead rate over an agreed period |
HOW WE USE AI
AI does the analysis.
People decide.
AI handles repeat work: crawling, issue detection, clustering, first-draft briefs and reports.
A specialist reviews every finding before it reaches you. Strategy, brand, budgets and client commitments stay with people.
We don’t publish mass-produced AI content, and we don’t create pages whose main purpose is to manipulate rankings.
CHANGES TO CLIENT SITES
Approved, logged
and reversible.
- Every change shows the old and new version, the reason, the page affected, who approved it and when.
- Changes go through staging where the site has it, with a backup first.
- Higher-risk changes always get an extra review: robots rules, canonical strategy, removing pages, bulk publishing and budget increases.
- We keep a change history so any change can be rolled back.
CORRECTIONS
If we get something wrong,
we fix it in the open.
If you find an error in our published guidance or a deliverable, email business@smartleading.net. We review it, correct it, and note the date of the correction on the affected page or report.
